Yarraville is a fantastic place to live and it’s changed a lot in the last 10 years that I’ve lived in Yarraville and Seddon. The Yarraville Cinema, The Sun Theatre Yarraville has been fully redeveloped from a very cool and grungy local into an elegant multi cinema theater that somehow hasn’t lost it’s character and charm.
The theatre symbolises much of the great change that’s been happening in Yarraville. Yarraville restaurants keep on popping up everywhere and the only shop that’s no longer a restaurant is the Hocking Stuart Yarraville real estate office.
It’s great that there are more restaurants but it seems to me that many of the locals are too busy with the kids they’ve produced after relocating from the leafy Eastern suburbs, renovating a heritage house to the highest standards and then replicating.
Much time is then spent at the Yarraville Cricket Club at Milo Cricket or getting the kids to St Augustines Yarraville on time for school.
